Insurance & Financing Policies
At Verve Wellness & Counseling we understand that every situation is unique. Our office will file claims with your insurance company or provide private pay options based on your needs. Accepted insurance include:
- BlueCross BlueShield
- Oscar Health
- Texas Exchange
Please ask our team if you don’t see your plan, it might be covered through our in-network payers via partner companies.
Coverage & Benefits
Every insurance plan is different, but we will be happy to help you understand your coverage and benefits. Before your first appointment, verification of benefits will be uploaded into your portal account with a breakdown of your individual coverage. Additionally, we can process an estimation of costs on your behalf at your request per services rendered. We’ll be your partners in the insurance claims process, so please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have questions.
We are also able to work with patients who have Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts as part of their insurance coverage. We can accept payment through these accounts in some cases, or we can provide information to document the treatments you’ve received for reimbursement.
Out of Network Payers
Not all plans will cover you if you go out of network. And, when you do go out of network, your share of costs could be higher. Some plans may have higher cost-sharing provisions (deductibles, copay, and coinsurance) that apply to out-of-network care. But, depending on your plan, out of network benefits are quite comparable to in-network benefits! It is the patient’s responsibility to contact out-of-network insurance providers in order to determine coverage eligibility. If you need any information from us, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can review your coverage and help you maximize benefits. For out-of-network users, payment will be due at the time of service. Our office will utilize courtesy billing on our end to assist you in the out-of-network process.
Verve Wellness & Counseling is pleased to offer private pay. Our office uses quotes from the Fair Choice Health Consumer website to guarantee fair prices comparable to in-network plans. For private pay users, payment will be due at the time of service. Please call our office to inquire.
Cancellation & No-show Policy
Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. If, for any reason, a session is canceled less than 48 hours prior, a fee of $80 (minimum) will be charged to the card on file. Please note that most insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions.
A no-show is when a client misses an appointment without canceling with at least 48 hr notice. A fee of $80 (minimum) will be applied for a no-show appointment. We understand emergencies happen and will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
Insurance can be frustrating and complicated to navigate. Our office will do everything we can to help you understand your specific plan. To assist further you can read our “Guide to Understanding Insurance and Patient Responsibility”
If you are late by 15 minutes or more to your counseling session, the session will have to be cancelled & will be treated as a “no-show.” We strive to do our best to respect both the time of our providers as well as your time.
If, for any reason, a client is late to his/her scheduled session without notice by 15 minutes or more, a fee of $80 (minimum) will be charged to the card on file. Please note that most insurance does not reimburse for fees incurred due to lateness.
