Masters in Clinical Mental Health

Midwestern State University

Hi! My name is Nicole, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Being a person of a very diverse background myself, I enjoy working with people of several different backgrounds and ethnicities (this is also where a good potion of my experience is). I have experience treating mental health disorders associated with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, relationship issues are amongst other difficulties I have experience treating. My approach to therapy utilizes techniques from different theories, particularly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Practicing techniques from both theories allows for me to collaboratively work with unique needs of each specific client. A career in counseling gives me the opportunity to learn about a subjects that I genuinely enjoy, in addition to allowing me to join and connect with people in their mental health journey. During my free time I enjoy reading, dabbling in art, and spending time with my family and two cats. I can’t wait to meet you!

Kamiko McJimson

Masters in Clinical Mental Health

New Hampshire University

Hi! My name is Kamiko, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I attended Southern New Hampshire University and received my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with many different populations and many different mental health issues. I have experience in crisis work, which includes suicide, severe mental illnesses, trauma, and substance abuse. I also have experience with depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. My counseling style utilizes different theoretical approaches such as person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) depending on my clients needs. These approaches allow me to see clients as unique individuals with different needs, allows me to work collaboratively with clients, and provide a safe, judgement free space for clients. A career in counseling allows me to advocate for and help others heal and grow to be the best versions of themselves. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and kids, writing, reading, singing, traveling, and listening to music. I can’t wait to meet you!
